Ali Zafar’s chances for PSL anthem are dim as, a famous Pakistani singer, is facing harassment allegations.
He has also given his voice to the anthem during the first three seasons of PSL series.

Despite the lack of concrete evidence to support these allegations, the lingering stain on his reputation hinders his ability to secure another opportunity to sing the PSL anthem.
According to report, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initially planned to have Ali Zafar as the anthem singer for PSL 9. However, complications had emerged in wake of a female official from a PSL franchise came forward and voiced objections.
She argued that Ali Zafar’s association with the anthem could have negative effects on the league’s image, given past harassment allegations.
The PCB has considered her concerns and so reversed its decision to involve Ali Zafar in the project. The singer expressed his displeasure with this unexpected turn of events, first surveying public opinion through a poll on social media and then venting his frustration in two lengthy posts.
The final decision on who will sing the anthem for PSL 9 in place of Ali Zafar is yet to be taken.
